iQOO recently held the third edition of Prive Night in India, inviting YouTubers, influencers, and tech media to preview the iQOO 15R, which is set to launch on February 24. We were invited to the event and got a first look at the iQOO 15R.
The iQOO 15R is the first ‘R’ model in iQOO’s lineup in India.
It’s aimed at young professionals who want a compact smartphone that also has a strong processor and a large battery. More about that later.
The iQOO 15R is available in two colors: black and silver with a checkered pattern.
The black version is called Dark Knight, and the silver one is called Triumph Silver.
The Dark Knight looks slightly grey in some lighting and has a more serious style, making it better for formal events.The Triumph Silver has a casual look, and the checkered pattern is stylish but only really visible when the light hits it at the right angle.
The camera setup on the iQOO 15R is similar to the iQOO 15, with two cameras.
The main camera uses a 50MP Sony LYT-700 sensor and has optical image stabilization. The front camera is a punch-hole design, and the screen size hasn’t been announced yet.
Inside the phone is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip and a 7,600 mAh battery with 100W fast charging.It also supports bypass charging.We like the design of the iQOO 15R.
It’s easier to use with one hand compared to the larger iQOO 15. The build quality is good, and our favorite color is Triumph Silver.iQOO hasn’t released the full specs yet, but the brand has confirmed that the phone will include the Q2 Supercomputing Chip, a 6.5K IceCore VC Cooling System, and support for 144 FPS gaming in BGMI through frame interpolation.
The iQOO 15R will run OriginOS 6 and get OS updates for four years and security updates for six years.The base model will cost less than INR50,000.
